Sakiko first stepped on the dance floor at the age of 4 in Tokyo, Japan. While in collage, she danced for Tamagawa University Dance Drill Team JULIAS
that had won first place in Japan’s National dance competition nearly every year prior.
For the four years she was a member of the the most awarded cheer/dance team in the country.
Sakiko graduated and continued her work in dance with the OBIC SEAGULLS, American Football Japanese team. Her career as cheerleading in Japanese in professional sports includes dancing for the Fukushima Firebonds professional basketball team and finally All-star Pro Cheerleaders.
For three year she danced professional in Tokyo and in the spring of 2017 she traveled to the United States to audition for NFL teams. That year she also joined Sideline Prep’s Pro Cheer Playbook program. As a result she made it to Finals for an NFL team on her first attempt!
Then in 2018, she auditioned for the second time for NFL Cincinnati Bengals and after so much hard work, she achieved her dream of becoming an NFL Professional Cheerleader.
She is now a Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleader BEN-GAL and a Sideline Prep Coach focusing on helping other Japanese dancers become prepared, polished and confident for professional cheer/dance auditions in the United States.
