In January 2013 I made the decision to attend the Sideline Prep Pro Cheer Workshop, completely blinded of the thought that this could change my life forever.

As I walked into the workshop, my breath was taken away by the beautiful women surrounding me. I looked around the room and I thought “What have I gotten myself into?” I quickly realized that I did not look like, dress like, or beam with confidence like these women did. But at the end of that weekend I left more determined and motivated then ever. I wanted to become a Washington Redskins Cheerleader and that’s exactly what Sideline Prep helped me achieve.

With auditions right around the corner the Sideline Prep coaches helped me to focus every step of the way! Sooin helped me with my look, Jeanette with fitness, GiNienne with phone consultations, and Megs was there for just about anything and everything. These motivating women have lived the audition process so their words of wisdom were brutally honest but extremely helpful. They helped me become my best self and led me into auditions ready and prepared. I was beyond grateful to have made it as a 2013 WRC finalist! They announced the team at the State Theater and my heart was crushed when my number wasn’t called. But not making the team just meant I had an entire year to reach my goal. I continued to live a healthy lifestyle, take dance classes, and keep in touch with my SP mentors, of course. I attended the Pro Cheer Workshop again (with CONFIDENCE) and saw many more familiar faces the second time around! I went into 2014 auditions knowing I had to push myself even more than last year.

The moment I heard “#50” called to join the new team backstage at the Howard Theater is something I will never forget. These past few months have been nothing short of a dream come true. It took hard work, determination, and a boat load of passion, but there isn’t any doubt in my mind that I have Sideline Prep to thank for it all.
